PIONEER. MEMBER AGREEMENT

BE yearning for interaction

BE willing to introduce yourself, make friends and help

BE ready to participate in impromptu and planned events

BE eager to help everyone feel proud of our space and the people in it

BE prepared for abundance (work, laughter, goodwill, and more)

Are you tired of noisy coffee shops and their unstable WiFi? Has your startup outgrown the garage? Do you love working at home but long to bounce ideas off of someone other than the cat?

We believe that by working in close proximity to other creative, talented people, we can all become stronger, more successful, and more inclined to put on pants in the morning. We call this no-brainer “coworking.”

Membership Guidelines

Pioneer  is a shared, collaborative, and open workspace. In order for everyone to peacefully co-exist, there are some best practices that we should all follow:

  • Be considerate and respectful of others. When you are finished using something, put it back the way you found it. Push chairs back in, clean off work spaces, and erase white boards. Always keep in mind you are sharing the space with others. Clean up any dishes or kitchen items.

  • Advertise yourself. If you have a permanent office or desk, put something up with your logo. If you want to share or test your marketing material, bring it to our mixers and share it with the community. The more the community knows what you are about, the more buzz it can create for you.

  • When it’s time for you to focus and do your productive work, the universal sign for “do not disturb” is to put on your headphones. If others have headphones on, that’s a sign they have serious work to get done.

  • Phone calls in the open space are fine, just talk at a normal volume and be aware it is an open space with the associated background noise. If you need privacy, are practicing aggressive negotiations or you have to yell at someone, use the phone room, take a walk outside or use the insulated quiet of your car. On the flip side, if you get disturbed easily by someone on a call, a good set of headphones are a must. If you are on the phone a lot using your booming sales voice, a private office is your best membership option.

  • Keep our space clean. When you leave, another person will most likely sit at that same spot. So please keep it clean and trash your trash. Note that the refrigerator is emptied every Friday.

  • If the coffee is out, make a pot yourself! You’ll probably get lots of love for brewing good coffee.

  • This is a non-profit endeavor. With that being said we ask that our members help to take ownership of a certain area of the space and ensure it stays clean and orderly. We’ll have a sign-up sheet posted where members can sign up for a specific area.

Active membership month is a month that a member/s have access to the space and facilities. This period runs from the first to the last day of each month.

- All membership payments are due on the 20th of the month preceding an active membership month.

Pioneer. Access

Standard building operation will be 09:00am - 6:00pm, Monday- Friday with the exclusion of public holidays i.e. front door open, heating system on. However we appreciate that our members are very much not the ‘9-5’ brigade and so we provide 24/7 access. It is assumed unless asked otherwise, that no one will need resources outside of standard business hours if however you do, i.e. on a Saturday email us and we will sort arrangements. This does mean that you have to be aware of certain items i.e. making sure the lights are turned out etc.

- Standard access is via the front door off Main Street from 9am till 6pm Monday to Friday

- Out of hours access will be available via the side door to the studio.

- If you are last out of the building, please insure that all lights are turned off.
